Gearhead Garage is a locally owned and operated tint & detail shop in Smithsburg Maryland. It is owned by Smithsburg local Caleb Singer. Caleb has loved cars since childhood and had dreamed of one day owning his own automotive business. He got his start in the automotive industry as a lube tech in 2018. In 2021 he quit his job and launched a mobile detailing company and found early success. Unfortunately, it was not a perfect success. When cold winters dried up his mobile clientele Caleb was forced back into the 9-5 workplace. He knew that if he was ever going to make his dream work, he would need to have a garage so he could work indoors during the colder months. Defeated, Caleb accepted an entry level window tint installation position in 2022. He soon found that he enjoyed the process of window tinting and began to plot his return to self employment and fulfill the dream of one day being a successful entrepreneur in the automotive industry. He vowed to learn from his mistakes and find an automotive shop in order to keep his business afloat year round. In late 2023 he was presented with a great opportunity to open his own shop and he took it! In early 2024 Gearhead Garage was launched. Caleb hopes to own and operate this business for many years to come
